Carlos Paul Hamilton, 84 years of age, of Science Hill, Kentucky, departed this life on August 12th, 2012 at his residence.

Carlos was born in Vanlear, Kentucky on February 25th, 1928, son of the late James Porter and Della Centers Hamilton. He retired as an auto worker for General Motors and also a watchmaker. He was of the Baptist faith and a World War II Army veteran.

Carlos was survived by his loving wife, Helen Bernice Mitchell Hamilton, whom he married on October 27th, 1949; three sons, Dale Allen (and Blanche) Hamilton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Gregory Paul Hamilton of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Jeffrey Lynn (and Sharilyn) Hamilton of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Paulette White of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Alex "Eddie" (and Joan) Hamilton of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Herman (and Willena) Hamilton of Somerset, Kentucky, and Kenneth (and Fonda) Hamilton of Waynesburg, Kentucky; two sisters, Sara "Bonnie" Buckner of Bronston, Kentucky and Carol Sue Hamilton of Somerset, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, David, Paul, Josh, Matthew, Jacob, Andrew, Luke, Chad, Jennifer, Christina, and Shannon; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Porter Hamilton and Della Centers Hamilton; and two brothers, James Wiley Hamilton and Roy Lee Hamilton.

Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17th, 2012 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18th, 2012 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Herman Hamilton officiating.

Burial followed in the Double Springs Cemetery with military honors held by the American Legion Post No#38.
