MARGARET R. TRAINOR

Margaret R. Trainor, age 83, formerly of 719 S. 22nd Street, Manitowoc, died
Friday morning, June 14, 2002, at Harbor House, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2002, at The Pfeffer
Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at
the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Ronald Reimer, with burial at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Nov. 3, 1918, in the town of Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of
the late Edward and Emma Roberts Zinkel. On May 29, 1940, she married Raymond J.
Trainor at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. He preceded her in death July 26,
1995. Mrs. Trainor was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she was a
member of the Perpetual Adoration Society and The Parish Women. She was also a
member of the Manitowoc Senior Center.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Barb Trainor, Manitowoc,
Paul and Debbie Trainor, Eldridge, Iowa; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and
Richard Shimek, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, five
sisters and brothers-in-law: Marie Fictum, Gertrude and Abdon Kohlbeck, Rosie and
Robert Bushman, Delores and Donald Manlick, Florence and Daryl McCollum; five
brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard and Dorothy Zinkel, Carl Sprang, Anton and
Joyce Zinkel, Arthur and Mary Zinkel, Herman and Vivian Sprang and Norma Trainor.
Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Sprang, a brother-in-law, Ivan
Fictum and her stepmother, Rose Staddler Zinkel.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation
Care Center, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, where a prayer service will be
held at 7 p.m., led by Deacon William Klein.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Harbor House and Holy Family
Memorial Hospice for the loving care.
