Mrs. Frank Rose, 78, died Friday at St. Luke hospital in Racine following a
short illness.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer funeral home,
Manitowoc, and Dr. C. H. Phipps will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Rose, nee Sebelia (sic) Wirth, was born in Illinois in 1872 and came to
Manitowoc when she was a young girl. In 1891 she was married to Frank Rose
and the couple moved to Racine in 1930. Mr. Rose died in 1934.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. William West of Minneapolis, Mrs. Henry
Maertz of Manitowoc, Mrs. Viggo Sorenson of Neenah, Mrs. George Strunz of
Solon Springs, Wis., and Mrs. Leo Danzer of Racine; two sons, Arthur and
John of Racine; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
