Mrs. Fred Rockhoff, 72, lifelong resident of the city, died Saturday evening
at the home, 1325 South Ninth street, following a several months illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Rockhoff home and
at 2 o’clock from the First German Evan. Lutheran church, the Rev. L. H.
Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Rockhoff, nee Emma Franke, was born in this city in 1869 and in 1892 was
married to Fred Rockhoff, city mail carrier, who recently retired from the
service. She was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the congregation.
Survivors are the widower; two sons, the Rev. Oscar Rockhoff of Brookfield, Ill.,
Harold, of Two Rivers; brother, Emil, of Winnepeg, Can.; three sisters, Mrs.
Philip Tuelp, of Salem, Wis., Mrs. William Schroeder, Mrs. Emil Hacker, of this
city; and four grandchildren.
The body was moved to the home this afternoon from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, and may be viewed there until the hour of the services.
