Mrs. Gladys M. Peterson, age 81, of 4432 Just Court, Manitowoc, died on Wednesday
evening, Aug. 15, 2007, at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
The former Gladys Roberts was born on Jan. 18, 1926, in Manitowoc, daughter of the
late Anton and Lydia (Kasten) Wehrwein Roberts. She was a 1944 graduate of Lincoln
High School, Manitowoc. On Sept. 6, 1947, Gladys was married to Roy A. "Rusty"
Peterson at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Northeim. Roy preceded her in death on
July 21, 2002. Gladys worked for the Mirro Aluminum Company for over 25 years,
retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Gladys enjoyed
flower gardening and was a great homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Anton Roberts and Lydia Kasten Roberts
Wehrwein; her stepfather: Walter Wehrwein; five brothers-in-law: Edward, Walter,
John, Charles and Harvey Peterson; and three sisters-in-law: Louella Pecnick,
Bette Molitor and Mabel Peterson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at St. Francis
of Assisi Parish, Waldo Blvd. Site. The Rev. Dave Beaudry will celebrate the Mass of
Christian Burial, with burial of her cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of
Manitowoc on Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m.
until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service on Monday
evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
