BRIEF ILLNESS TAKES LIFE OF YOUNG FATHER

Pneumonia of ten days’ duration at 12:45 o’clock this noon claimed the life of Anton H. Roberts, 32 year old local resident and the father of two young girls. Death occurred at the Holy Family hospital where he had been confined for several days.

Born in the town of Newton on January 26, 1898, he attended the schools of vicinity and for the past 15 years was employed in Manitowoc, being with Pauly and Pauly at the time of his death.

On June 12, 1923, he married Miss Lydia Kasten who with his two children, Grace, six, and Gladys, four; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Roberts, town of Newton; four brothers, Oscar of Manitowoc Rapids, Charles of Manitowoc, Nic of Buffalo, New York, and Irwin of the town of Newton survive him.

Funeral services will be held from the St. Paul’s Catholic church on Monday morning with Rev. Jaeckels officiating. Interment will take place at Calvary.
