Wife of John "Frank" Forsyth, married 22 May 1890 in Monroe County, Indiana. To this union seven children were born; Rex Ross, Clarence Otto, Guy Elsdale, Elmer Ellsworth, King E., Charles T. and Max A. Forsyth.

"Mrs. J. F. Forsyth, 68 [sic] years old, 121 South Oriental Street, died yesterday in her home. She was born in Bloomington, and had lived in Indianapolis fourteen years. Survivors are six sons, Clarence Forsyth and Rex Forsyth of Bloomington, and Guy Forsyth, Max Forsyth, King Forsyth and Charles Forsyth, all of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in Bloomington. Burial will be in Bloomington." INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 6 Jan. 1934. p. 4.
"Several weeks illness from paralysis caused the death in Indianapolis Thursday of Mrs. Martha Jane Forsyth, 77, a former resident of this City and mother of Rex and Clarence here. The body will be returned home for burial, funeral and burial announcements to be made later. Besides the two sons here, survivors include four other sons, Guy, King, Charles and Max Forsyth, all of Indianapolis; three brothers, George Whisenand, here, Tom Whisenand of Martinsville, and Walter Whisenand, of Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Willard Farr, north of Bloomington, and Mrs. Laura Goodman [sic], of Illinois, and one great-aunt, Mrs. Jess Mayfield, 95, who resides here on East 6th Street. The deceased, who resided here until about 15 years ago, is a member of the Christian Church." BLOOMINGTON EVENING WORLD, 5 Jan. 1934, p. 1.
"Rites for Mrs. Martha Jane Forsyth, 68, will be held at the First Christian Church here at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. W. E. Moore, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Short rites were scheduled to be conducted from the residence at 121 South Oriental Street, Indianapolis, where her death occurred yesterday, at 2:30 o'clock today. Immediately thereafter the body was to be brought to the home of Clarence Forsyth, 915 North Walnut Street, to lie in state until the services tomorrow. Survivors include: two sons here, Rex and Charles Forsyth, one in Los Angeles, Charles Forsyth, and three in Indianapolis, Guy, King, and Max Forsyth; three sisters, Mrs. Hammond [sic] Headley, and Mrs. Willard Farr, of this County and Mrs. Laura Goodman [sic] of Illinois; three brothers, George Whisenand, here, Tom Whisenand, of Martinsville, and Walter Whisenand, of Illinois, and a great aunt, Mrs. Jess Mayfield, 93, here."
