George W. Whisenand, 77, died at his home at 1002 North College Avenue, at 5 o'clock this morning of heart disease. Until the sudden attack, he had seemed in good health. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Addie Whisenand, two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Clark of Bloomington, and Mrs. Hazel Whisenand, a teacher in Shortridge High School in Indianapolis; two brothers, Thomas Whisenand of Martinsville, and Willis Whisenand, La Harbra, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Willard Farr of Bloomington, and Mrs. Jake Goodman [sic], Bement, Ill. Mr. Whisenand, who has been a resident of the County for 35 years, was a well-known retired farmer. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the Day Mortuary in charge of the Rev. R.O. Pearson, pastor of the Fairview Methodist Church. Interment will be at Rosehill."
