Opelousas- A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, LA, for Mr. Joseph Alexandre Devillier. Rite of Committal and interment followed in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Father Keith Domingue will celebrate the Mass.

Joseph was a native of Opelousas and a resident of Leonville. He passed away on Monday, August 7, 2012, at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital at the age of 84. He was a Stone mason in the Construction Business for many years. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran who served his country during WWII.

Survivors include two sons; one daughter; one brother; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Kimble Devillier; his parents, Joseph Devillier and Nora Zaeringue Devillier; 8 siblings, and 1 grandchild.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, August 10, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
