Services for Joseph Wilfinger, 74, of Eastlake, a retired material handler,in production for the former Caterpillar Industrial, Inc. in Mentor, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Brunner Golden Rule Funeral Home, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr Wilfinger died Tuesday at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 20, 1915, in Austria-Hungary, he lived in Mentor and South Euclid before moving to Eastlake nine years ago. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor. He retired in 1980 after 28 1/2 years with Caterpillar.
Survivors are his wife, Helen (Kaib); son, Robert of Silver Springs, Md; daughter, Juliana Wilfinger of Eastlake; sister, Juliana Nagar of Graz, Austria; and one granddaughter.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ronald LePere will officiate at services. Burial will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village.
The family suggests contributions be made to American Cancer Society, Lake County Unit, 125 E. Erie St., Painesville, 44077 or Our Shepherd Lutheran School, 508 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
