She was born to Henry and Margaret (Rauls) Koch on Sept. 1, 1900, in Martinsville. She was married to Ethelbert Meyer on June 3, 1924. He preceded her in death in 1964.
Teresa farmed with her husband in Westport all of her life. She loved to cook and work as Chairman of the kitchen at St. Mary of the Lake for over 50 years. She was a 4-H leader for a number of years and actively helped at the annual church dinners and athletic banquets.
She was an active member of St. Ann's Altar Society and St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.
Survivors include five children; 26 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchidren; and a sister, Hedwig Pertzborn [deceased on Dec. 15, 2006].
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Vincent; nine sisters, Susan Koch, Agnes Pertzborn, Cicilia [Cecilia] Kuehn, Rose Esser, Catherine Kuehn, Elizabeth Pertzborn, Mary Koch, Annie Koch and Lucy Koch; and four brothers, Peter, John, Joseph and Matthew Koch.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at St. Mary of the Lake Church. Reverend Daniel Finnane officiated. Burial took place in the church cemetery."
