Son of Henry H. Haverkamp and Dena Klaasmeyer.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul United Church of Christ "Osage" Cook, NE. He married on April 24, 1921, to Susie Powell of Cook, NE. They moved to a farm at Virginia, NE. where they resided 48 years, before moving to Adams, NE.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister and 2 brothers. He is survived by a daughter Maxine Behrens and her husband Roy; 2 grandchildren Roxie Agena and her husband, Larry Rex Behrens and his wife Glenda; three great granddaughters, Jenni, Terra and KayCee Agena. 2 sisters, Freida of Pawnee City, Mary of Pasadena, CA. three brothers, Walter of Pawnee City, Fred of Nebraska City and Raymond of Fremont, CA.

Funeral services held at the American Lutheran Church in Adams, NE. Dec. 11th, with Pastor Bruce Johnson officiating. Mrs. Roger Gronewald was organist. Interment was at Highland Cemetery.

Casket bearers were: Robert Weiss, Everett Weiss, Steven Gottula, Miene Schmidt, Alvin Behrens and Harry Kamp.
