Mrs. Dina Gelka Haverkamp died at her son's home at Pawnee City, Nebr., December 14, 1960. Her age was 85years, nine months and 19 days. Dina Gelka Haverkamp, daughter of Ulfert and Jantje Dressen Klassmeyer was born Feb. 23, 1875 at Bascoe, Ill. She was baptized at an early age and was confirmed in the St. Paul's Evangelical church of Osage, near Cook, Nebr. On March 16, 1893 she was united in marriage to Henry Herman Haverkamp at Osage, and to that union nine children were born. Her husband and one son Ulfer preceded her in death. Surviving are five sons and three daughters: Peter, Ronan, Mont; Mary, Los Angeles; John, Virginia; Fred, Burr; Mrs. Bethel, Richardson. Verdon; Walter, Pawnee City; Raymond, Alameda, Calif.; Mrs. John Halfhide. Pawnee City; two sons-in-law. five, daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and: one sister-in-law, Mrs. John K1assmeyer. Most of her younger years were spent around Osage and later years in Pawnee county. Since her husband's death. in 1951, she had made her home with her son and wife, Mr. And Mrs. Walter Haverkamp. She was a devoted wife and mother. She had a host of friends, many who remembered her from her younger days. Interment was in the Pawnee City cemetery, Rev. Jack Malia officiating.
