Services for Ida Florence Gressett Moreau will be at Christ The King Catholic Church, Simmesport, on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Father Daniel Corkery officiating. Burial will be in Christ The King Mausoleum, Simmesport, under the direction of Escude Funeral Home, Simmesport.

Ms. Moreau, age 78, of Simmesport died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 at her residence.

She was an insurance agent, former owner/operator of the Dairy Queen in Simmesport and a loving homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiltz Moreau; father, Lloyd Gressett; mother, Ivy Gressett; son, Clyde Moreau; sister, Olivia Laningham; and brother, Jack Gressett.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Cooper of Alpharetta, Ga.; son, Daniel Moreau of Cumming, Ga.; brothers, Lloyd Gressett of Dallas, Texas and Roland Gressett of Hamshire, Texas; sisters, Pauline Holland of Huntsville, Texas and Gladys Underwood of Seagoville, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Roth, Jr., Chad Cooper, Shawn Cooper and Shawn Moreau; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home, Simmesport, on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time.
