Mrs. Regina Koch, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday at Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.
Born Feb. 7, 1908, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late John [sic-William Joseph] and Catherine (O'Donnell) Smurl. Regina was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her extended family at Birchwood Nursing. She was employed for many years at Pioneer Pants, Wilkes-Barre, and was a member of Sacred Heart-St. John's Parish Community, and the Wilkes-Barre Senior Citizen's Club. She was preceded in death by husband Joseph C., on July 18, 1970; sons John Patrick, Joseph Michael, William, James; brothers John, James, and Joseph.
Surviving are son, Charles, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; daughters, Katherine Graham, Garwood, N.J.; Jean Cora, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Roseann Cox, Forty Fort, Pa.; Arline Motovidlak, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Linda Hearst, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; 34 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and great-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart-St. John's Church, North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Monsignor John Sempa, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
