Reported ‘Critical'

4 persons were injured, 2 critically, just before noon Tuesday in a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 10, a mile west of Menoken.

In critical condition are Mrs. Garry O'Callaghan, Sr., 58, Hazelton, and Ellis C. Marsden, 34, of 1306 Thayer Avenue. Also injured were Garry O'Callaghan, Sr., 68, and Miss Mary Ann Clark, 55, both of Hazelton. All are patients at the Bismarck Hospital.

O'Callaghan who suffered a cerebral concussion, lacerations, and abrasions about the head, told his attending physician the care he was driving was coming onto the highway from a side road and that a vehicle driven by Marsden was going east on U.S. 10 when the collision occurred.

O'Callaghan was coming from the south. He said he and his 2 passengers were en route to Bismarck. Marsden was alone. Highway Patrolmen Eddie Weible and Ryder Hamro investigated the accident.

Mrs. O'Callaghan sustained undetermined abdominal injuries. Marsden received severe head injuries and Miss Clark suffered lacerations and contusions, according to the attending physician.

Marsden is district representative for the North Dakota area for Edward Don & Co. of Chicago.

Passing motorists brought Marsden, O'Callaghan, and Miss Clark to the hospital. The Boelter Ambulance Service brought Mrs. O'Callaghan to Bismarck.
