James Linton "Linty" ROBISON was born in Cape John, Pictou, Nova Scotia on 1885-10-03. He was the fourth child of Thomas ROBISON Jr. (1844-12-13) and Ellen MURPHY (1853-09-28). He had five brothers (Thomas William ROBISON (1880-03-09), Alexander Blanchard ROBINSON (1887-09-19), Charles Edwin ROBISON (1888-10-15), John Leslie ROBINSON (1890-07-21), Gordon ROBISON (1895-07-15)) and three sisters (Florence Evelyn ROBINSON (1881-12-10), Mary Murphy ROBISON (1883-09-28), Anna Priscilla ROBISON (1892-10-18)).

When he was 30 years old, his father Thomas ROBISON Jr. died (1916-08-12). When he was 47 years old, his mother Ellen MURPHY died (1932-11-26).

On 1915-10-27, he married Sarah McRAE (1893-08-13) in River John, Pictou, Nova Scotia. He was 30 years old when he married Sarah McRAE, who was 22 years old at that time. He had seven children with Sarah McRAE: Donald Alexander ROBINSON (1916-06-01), Dorothy Pearl ROBINSON (1918-06-16), Ernest Linton ROBINSON (1920-10-18), Elsie Verna ROBINSON (1920-10-18), Irvin Russell ROBINSON (1923-09-04), Norman Ole ROBINSON (1928-07-19), Lois Marie ROBINSON (1933-08-02).

On 1946-01-28, he died in 249th General Hospital, Manila, Phillipines when he was 60 years old. He was buried in Fort William Mckinley, American Veterans' Cemetery, Plot D Row 5, Grave 40, Manila, Philippines. His wife Sarah McRAE died on 1985-08-31, 40 years after him.
