THE OKLAHOMAN, Wed, Feb 15, 1933: Funeral Rites For Mrs Hattie Goit, Former Editor, Set--Name: Mrs Hattie Goit, former editor of the Poteau Sun. Died: Tuesday morning, city hospital of pneumonia, age 57. Funeral: Wednesday, 4 PM, Hahn funeral home by Rev. Erwin F Bohmfalk. Burial: Rose Hill cemetery.

Survivors: five sisters, Mrs C E Dobbins, city, Miss Ellen Clarke, Mrs Joe Bondurant, Mrs Mattie Miller and Mrs Con Craig, all of Paducah, KY; two brothers, Charles and John Clarke, Paducah.

Mrs Goit was prominent in the Democratic party state politics. She became the editor of the woman's page of Harlow's Weekly after editing the Poteau Sun.
