Peter A. Ferderer, 55, Dickinson, died Friday en route to a Dickinson hospital. Rosary was said at 7:30 pm Monday at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson. Services were held at 10 am Tuesday, April 14, 1981 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Father Edwin Volk officiating. Casketbearers were Burton Hoovestal, Allen Stein, Victor Gegelman, Florian Frank, William Fleck, & Simon Walter. Military honors were accorded by a veterans drill team. Interment was made at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, ND.

Pete was born December 23, 1925, in Center, ND to Philip & Clementine (Weber) Ferderer, and grew up in New Salem, ND. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in 1947 returned to New Salem, where he operated a truck line and later a cafe and a butcher shop. He married Anna "Ann" Stein on June 5, 1950, in Crown Butte, ND. In 1967, they moved to Regent, ND, where he worked at the Co-op Store. They moved to Dickinson in 1969 and drove a mail truck until becoming disabled in June 1980.

Pete is survived by his wife, 4 daughters, Kathleen (Eric) Ragsdale of Bothell, WA, Paulette (Joseph P.) Hutmacher of South Heart, Nadine, at home, and Lucinda "Cindy" of Dickinson; 5 sons, Wayne, Terrance "Terry", and David, all of Dickinson, and Steven and Randall "Randy", both at home; 1 grandson; 4 brothers, Joe of New Salem, Leo of Wilton, IA, Raymond of Lodi, CA, and Vernon of Helena, MT; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ray Kokleler of Garrison, Mrs. Julius Reimer of St. Cloud, MN, and Mrs. Keith Henke of Auburn, WA.
