Wayne Thomas Ferderer, 65, Dickinson, died Sunday, November 11, 2018 surrounded by his family at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Wayne’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Dallas Carlson presiding.

Wayne Thomas Ferderer, the son of Peter and Anna (Stein) Ferderer, was born October 30, 1953 in Mandan. He attended school in Mandan, New Salem, Regent and Dickinson, graduating in the class of 1971. He started his career at Wesmar Company, Inc. in Lynnwood, Wash. in 1971. He returned to Dickinson and started working at TMI Systems Design where he worked for 23 years. Wayne then owned and operated Total Entertainment Center for 20 years until he retired in 2015. In retirement Wayne continued to deal Black Jack for the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation.

Wayne married Beverly Weyer on September 9, 1983, in Dickinson. They were blessed with three children, Rebecca, Bryce and Alicia. Wayne loved camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, games of chance (Black Jack, casino fun), countless hours of cards and hosting family and friends for any occasion or event, and he was always the life of the party. He will be remembered for his award-winning salsa, country style sausage, Red Eye of various flavors, pickled beans, pickled carrots and his delicious zucchini bread and jelly. Wayne will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Beverly, Dickinson; daughter, Rebecca, Tokyo, Japan; son, Bryce Ferderer, Fargo; daughter Alicia Ferderer, Dickinson; brothers, Terry (Nancy) Ferderer, Steve Ferderer and Randall Ferderer, Dickinson; David (Laurie) Ferderer, Aurora, Colo.; sisters, Paulette Hutmacher, Killdeer; Nadine (Mike Morton) Morin, Seattle, Wash.; Lucinda Gehrts, Bismarck; brothers-in-law, Erick (Bonnie) Ragsdale, Mesa, Ariz.; Dennis (Deanna) Weyer, Thermopolis, Wyo.; Lawrence (Teresa) Weyer, Green River, Wyo.; Darryl (Susan) Weyer, Vancouver, Wash.; Michael (Pam) Weyer, Golva; Hugh (Barb) Weyer, Sturgis, S.D.; Eric (Beth) Weyer, Wright, Wyo.; sisters-in-law, Terri (Jerry) Uran, New Town; Marie (John) Whipp, Lander, Wyo.; Elaine (Terry) Johnson, Belfield; step-brothers, Dale (Linda) Frank, Eugene (Jane) Frank, Cletus (Karla) Frank; step-sisters, Dorothy (Harvey) Hibl, Wanda Kappel; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Wayne also had a special place in his heart for his four-legged friends, Alfie, Cleo and Kai.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Anna Ferderer; step-father, Florian Frank; mother and father-in-law, Floyd and Alice Weyer; sister, Kathleen Ragsdale; brother-in-law, Michael Gehrts; nephew, John Patrick Whipp; and numerous aunts, uncles and grandparents.

A special thank you to Dr. Bruce Olin and his nurse Debbie at Sanford Health East, the physicians, midlevel providers and staff at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson Emergency Department and ICU for the wonderful compassionate care that they provided Wayne.
