Thomas A. "T. A." Dendy, 68, passed away, on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at North MS Medical Center, in West Point. Thomas Adron Dendy was born February 2, 1944 in Chickasaw County Mississippi to the late Jewel Lorene Dendy and Ellis Adron Dendy. He was retired from Babcock and Wilcox Company as a Fitter-Welder after 32 years service. Mr. Dendy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was happiest watching his grandson Nate play sports. Thomas A. "T. A." Dendy married Becky Cox Dendy on February 14, 1969.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 27, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. James A. Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery Montpelier, Mississippi. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife Becky Cox Dendy; two daughters, Trina Dendy, and Paige Dendy Lamkin (Shane); one grandson; Nate Lamkin all of West Point; his two brothers in law, Rusty Cox (Becky), Bill Cox (Doopie) and two sisters in law, Pam Cox and Jean Dendy and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; two sisters, Julie McMullen (Sam Thrash) of Columbus, and Mary Dendy Brand (Lonnie) of Cedar Bluff; two brothers, Marion E. "Punk" Dendy (Gaye) of West Point, and Lamar Dendy (Cora) of Mantee. He was preceded in death by two brothers Pete Dendy and Phil Dendy, two sisters Joyce Dendy Eaton and Josephine Dendy, nephew, Billy Wayne Eaton and his brother in law, Keith Cox, and his Father and Mother in law, John Thomas and Peggy Cox.

Pallbearers will be John Ed Freshour, Bobby Jenkins, Frank Pettit, Brad Cox, Will Cox, and Heath Brand.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ms. Brett Miller, Charles Clanton, Don Permenter, Henry Myers, Frank Wilson, Willie Hightower, Garland Colbert, Hubert Eaton, Eddie Brock, Darrold Neal, all his many friends from B. & W., and his Church Family at Calvary Baptist Church.
