A native of Fayette County, he was a Spanish War veteran and a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad, having been employed as a car inspector.
Surviving are a son, George W. Rockwell of Uniontown; a sister, Mrs. Mary Walls of Los Angeles California, and a brother, Frank Rockwell of Tacoma, Washington.
The funeral service will be held in the Minerd funeral home at Uniontown at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. E. J. Keifer, pastor of the Calvary Methodist Church, Uniontown, officiating.
Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
