The 9th child of Antone and Emma Silva. Her father Antone died a year after she was born and she was raised by her mother Emma and step-father, Joseph James Fern, the 1st mayor of Honolulu. Her Sisters were Rebecca, Emma, Mary, Victoria and Annie. Her brother was Samuel Silva. Herself and her siblings all danced hula, which they learned from their mother, who was a well-known kumu hula during the twenties and thirties.

NOTE: Her common law husband was Daniel Manuhoa Woodward Jr. They had two children, Agnes & Joseph Hiram Stanley (known as Hiram Silva). Both died young.
Burial note: unmarked grave.
