Mrs. Rebecca Lachance, 57, of 575 P road, Damon tract, died in Kuakini hospital Wednesday afternoon. She was born on Kauai, February 22, 1891. Services will be held at 9am Monday at St. Philomena’s church. Friends may call at Akana’s mortuary from 5 to 9pm. Sunday and after 7:30 am, Monday. The procession will leave at 8:45 am for the church. Burial will be at Diamond Head memorial park. Mrs. Lachance is survived by the widower, Philip Lachance; one son Philip Jr.; two daughters, Kaui and Momi, on the mainland; seven grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Victoria Ano. - Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Friday June 11, 1948.
