Age 82, he was a son of the late Emidio and Elena DiLuzio Verdecchia. He was a 1934 Graduate of Academy High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a self-employed grocer for over 40 years with his two brothers. Later he worked for the City of Erie Water Department, retiring in 1981. He was life-long member of Holy Rosary Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Tonty and Margaret Verdecchia; and by three brothers, Nicholas J., William A. and Leo M. Verdecchia, M.D.
Survivors include two sisters, Jean V. Jiuliante of Erie and Emma V. Gambatese of Erie; a brother, Charles P. Verdecchia and his wife Betty of Erie; 20 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
