Age 76, daughter of the late Emidio and Elena DiLuzio Verdecchia. She graduated from Academy High School. Miss Verdecchia worked in the family business, Verdecchia Bros. Grocery Store at East 27th and Brandes streets and later at Carlisle's. She also was a medical assistant in her brother, Leo Verdecchia, M.D.'s, medical practice until retiring in 1987. She was a life-long member of Holy Rosary Parish where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Verdecchia Tonty; and two brothers, Nicholas and William A. Verdecchia.
Survivors include two sisters, Jean V. Jiuliante and Emma Gambatese, both of Erie; three brothers, Louis, Leo and Charles Verdecchia, all of Erie; 19 nieces and nephews and 36 great-nieces and nephews.
