Joseph J. Dake, 85, formerly of Dixon died last Friday in Cox Medical Center after a lingering illness.
Mr. Dake, a resident of Springfield since 1922, retired from the Elkins-Swyers Printing Company in 1948. He was a member of Solomon Masonic lodge No. 271.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; three sons, Raymond, Kendrick, and Robert, two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Edwards, and Mrs. Josephine Flinn; a sister, Mrs. Lena Banfield; a step-daughter, Mrs. G. M. Klingner, Sr.; a step-son, R. Dean Neil,; 19 grandchildren and 25 Great-grandchildren.
Dake was a Pulaski County Collector at one time.
