Ray Dake, 75, died at 2:55 pm, Wednesday, at Cox Medical after a brief illness. Born in Dixon.
Mr. Dake was a resident of Springfield most of his life, he retired in January 1978, from the Elkins-Swyers Printing and Office Equipment Co where he worked 45 years.
He was a World War I Veteran, and a member of the National Avenue Christian Church, and the Elks Lodge.
Survivors are his wife, Jean; four sons, Michael, Richard, Joseph, and Larry; brother, Kendrick; sister, Mrs. Josephine Flinn; stepmother, Mrs. J.J. Dake; stepsister, Mrs. Malcolm Klingner; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
