Funeral services for E.M. Brower, a former Wellsville resident, were held at the Wells Funeral Home here Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Melvin Kirks, assisted by Mrs. Linley Thomas. Burial was in the Wellsville City Cemetery.
Emery Milton Brower, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyon Olonzo Brower, was born in the state of Michigan on June 17, 1866, and died Sunday, February 15, 1942, at Buffalo, Mo.
He married Miss Permelia Jane Clement of Shamrock, sister of C. E. Clement of Wellsville, on January 8, 1890, and they became the parents of seven children, all of whom survive. He is also survived by his widow, 32 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired contractor in railroad construction.
He was 75 years of age. He came to Missouri with his parents at the age of three years and grew to manhood near Wellsville, where he resided until about 22 years ago.
The cause of death was coronary thrombosis.
His children, all present at the funeral, are: Mrs. Flossie Cope, and Granville Milton, St. Louis; Mrs. Mary Ellen Pine, Bellflower: Lyon Olonzo, Laddonia; Mrs. Bessie Lillie Fry, New Florence; Harry William, north of Wellsville, and Charles Henry of Kansas City. Optic News
