Beatrice W. Moore, 91, of Heidelberg, was born April 3, 1921 and died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, July 23, 2012 at Heidelberg Baptist Church with burial to follow in Heidelberg Cemetery. Rev. Bill Boulton will officiate.
She was the bookkeeper at White-Way Cleaners in Laurel for 30 years before retiring in 1985 and moving to Heidelberg. She was a former long-time member of Magnolia Baptist Church, a member of the MS Association of Credit Women International where she served as State President and also held many other offices, locally and nationally, and was a member of Heidelberg Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Hollie West; son, James C. Moore; brothers, William L. West and Robert West; and sisters, Hazel W. Ober and Blanche W. Matter.
Survivors include her brother, James (Bobbie) West of New Augusta; children, Marie Gavin of Heidelberg, John (Elaine) Moore of Laurel; grandchildren, Megan (Jessie) McMullan of Heidelberg, Holly (Todd) Green of Heidelberg, Mitchell (Lorita) Gavin of Heidelberg, Jamie (Kathy) Gavin of Hattiesburg, David (Hope) Moore of Brandon and Rebecca (Peter) McDonald of Edmond, OK; great grandchildren, Daphne (Wayne) Smith of Petal, Kaycee (Tony) Everidge of Kissimmee, FL, Larry (Candy) McMullan of Ellisville, Ryan Twiner of Ellisville, Jami Green of Heidelberg, Jessica Green of Heidelberg, Savannah (Michael) Harrop of Heidelberg, Taylor Gavin of Heidelberg, Hunter Gavin of Laurel, Landra Gavin of Laurel, Tatum Gavin of Hattiesburg, Tyler Gavin of Hattiesburg, Jordan McDonald of Edmond, OK, Makenzie McDonald of Edmond, OK and Presley McDonald of Edmond, OK; great great grandchildren, Thomas Smith of Petal, Emily Smith of Petal, Christian McMullan of Ellisville, Anna McMullan of Ellisville and Camaron Twiner of Ellisville; host of nieces and nephews; and beloved puzzle friend, Jerry McRae.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Jamie Gavin, David Moore, Mitchell Gavin, Hunter Gavin, Larry McMullan, Wayne Smith and Thomas Smith.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Memory Chapel of Heidelberg which is in charge of arrangements.
