Barbara M. Smoker, 92, of 61 Evergreen St., Intercourse, died Tuesday at home after a brief illness.
A homemaker,she was a member of Nickel Mines Mennonite Church. She was a past member of the church's sewing circle.
Born in Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Fannie Miller Augsburger.
Her husband, Elmer Smoker, died in 1980.
Surviving are seven daughters, Martha and Esther Smoker, both of Intercourse; Mary Ann ,wife of Melvin Kauffman of Atglen; Ellen Mae,wife of Harold J.Ranck of Cochranville;
Erma, wife of Frank A. Kennel of Kinzers; Mildred, wife of Glenn Kunkel of Ronks; and Rhoda Jane, wife of J. Raymond Harnish of Oxford; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grand- children; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grand children; and three sisters, Anna Lapp of Lancaster; Elizabeth, wife of Christian Yoder of Lewisburg; and Mary Miller of Blue Ball.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lester; and a daughter, Verna.
