She was a native of Lawtey and had been a resident of Palatka for the past 47 years, coming from Lawtey. She was a Baptist. She was employed by Hudson Pulp and Paper Corp. in 1955 and retired from Georgia-Pacific Corp. in 1980 from the tissue converting department. She was a proud member of Union Local No. 852 in Palatka. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and walking to Messer's every morning for coffee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill English; one daughter, Debbie Sue "Angie" Phillips; five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Debbie Greene of Bostwick; one sister, Loca Bell Gibson of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at Bostwick Baptist Church with Rev. David Eddins officiating. A video tribute will be shown. Interment will follow in Bostwick Cemetery.
