Mrs. Anna M. Mayhew, widow of the Rev. John L. Mayhew, died at 1 p.m. Monday, February 4, in Utlaut Memorial Hospital where she had been transferred from Fair Oaks.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Free Methodist Church, the Revs. Donald N. Bastian and Robert L. Smith, the officiants. Interment will be in Montrose cemetery. Visitation is after 3 o'clock this afternoon (Tuesday) at the Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mayhew, daughter of Thomas and Martha (Halford) Dilbeck was born in Fayette county and had observed her 90th birthday on Sunday. She attended Greenville College and taught school in Fayette county. Her marriage was to John L. Mayhew on June 15, 1910 at Bingham. He died January 8, 1967. A resident of Greenville for the past 35 years, she was a member of the Free Methodist Church, women's Christian Temperance Union, and Women's Missionary Society, serving as delegate to the General Organization on several occasions.
Surviving include sons Kendell P. of Springfield and Raymond L. or Summit, NY, brother, James E Dilbeck of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A daughter Hilda Blowers, two sisters and one brother preceded in death.
