James Edward Dilbeck, 89, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Bingham, Ill., died Friday evening September 2, 1983, at 8 p.m. in a Detroit hospital. He was born August 24, 1894, in Bingham, son of Thomas Allen and Martha Caroline Halford Dilbeck.
He taught chemistry in a Detroit High School many years before retiring.
He is survived by daughters Mrs. Allen (Eleanor) Barber of Cedar Springs, Mich., and Mrs. Joe (Janet Wagner of Washington, D.C.; 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in Detroit, Mich. Burial was in White Chapel Cemetery.
