Son of Adolphus Ball and Priscilla Boam, husband of Mary Paula Leonard and father of Helen "Nellie", Harry Jr., Myra, Emilie, Walter L., Edna, Edwin, Lillian (married Hanna) and Florence Estelle Ball (married Carter).

Harry came to the United States in November of 1891 and settled in Patchogue, NY. He was naturalized on July 12, 1899 in Riverhead, NY.

In 1924, Harry applied for a passport to visit relatives in England. He sailed aboard the Adriatic on August 2, 1924. His application was witnessed by John Henry Smalky Bryan, a machinist from Patchogue, who stated that he had known Harry for 20 years.

Obituary - At Patchogue, NY, October 25, 1933, Harry Ball, Sr., aged 72 years. Funeral services from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Patchogue, NY, Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Harry Ball Sr., of 17 Waverly Place, was buried by Ruland's Funeral Home on October 28, 1933 at the age of 72 years, 9 months and 25 days.
