Lizzie Goin

Lizzie Mae Cruse, daughter of Henry and Mattie Cruse, was born Feb. 26, 1874 at Lawson, Clay county, Mo., and passed away at the hopital in Stafford, Kansas, Aug. 25, 1943, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 28 days.

Jan. 18, 1900 she was married to Dale Cottrell. June 10, 1909 she was married to Ed Goin at Cherokee, Okla.

Her father, mother, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Ed Goin, three sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. J.E. McMillian, of Savannah, Mo., Mrs. Ida Young of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Rosie Hall of Wathena, Kansa, and Chas. Palmer Cruse of Kansas City, Mo.

She joined the Christian church at Stafford when she was fourteen years old and in 1905 she united with the Baptist church at Alamosa, Colo., and remained a member of the church until her passing. While she was a patient at the hospital we called on her several times and always she expressed her hope to soon depart this life and be at rest.

Funeral services were held at the funeral chapel conducted by Rev. W.G. White of the Baptist church. Interment in the Stafford Cemetery.
