Rosanna was the daughter of Henry and Martha A. Wright. When she was 4 years old she moved with her family to a new homestead in Stafford County Kansas. Her father died within a few months of their arrival. Her mother, Mattie, and 8 children stayed on the homestead for a number of years with the assistance of two of Henry's brothers who had also homesteaded close by. Eventually Mattie sold out and moved the family to St. Joseph, Missouri. Rosanna married Fred Roll on July 4, 1916 in St. Joseph, MO. She and Fred spent their lives farming in Marion Twp., Doniphan Co., KS.
