Ines Fawn Hunter Schultz, 88, passed away at her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 22, 2004 of illness incident to a stroke. She was born on March 4, 1916, in Heman, Idaho, to William Leslie Hunter and Margaret Elizabeth Jenkins Hunter. She attended school in St. Anthony, Idaho and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She later attended Brigham Young University. For 13 years she worked as executive secretary for the president of the American National Bank. She married Dean W. Schultz on December 7, 1946, in Idaho Falls. Their union was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. The couple had two sons. She was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was active in community activities in the Idaho Falls area, including the Idaho Falls Symphony Board, the Idaho Falls Music Club, the Bonneville County Heart Fund, and the Linden Park Elementary PTA. She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many leadership and teaching positions in the Relief Society, Primary, and other auxiliary organizations, as well as being an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls Temple. Her life was characterized by an abiding faith in God. She was generous with her time and talents and loved to serve others. She was known for her exceptional skills in writing, teaching, and organizational management. She delighted others with her spellbinding real-life stories and delicious desserts. She loved nice things, and her home was a place of peace, love, and beauty. Many of her children's friends still consider her their second mother because of the positive influence she had on them. Surviving are her husband of nearly 58 years, Dean, two sons, Dean R. (Kathy) Schultz, Mission Viejo, CA, Stuart H. (Christine) Schultz, Bountiful, UT, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sisters, Elna (Don) Leymaster of Idaho Falls and Phyllis (Charles) Goldthorpe, of Tustin, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Zella Swensen, Nila Bigler, and Wilma Bennion, and brother, Clyde Hunter. Funeral services held Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the 20th Ward, 651 Gladstone, Idaho Falls. Burial in the Taylor Cemetery.
