JOHN TURNER JR. WILL
MADISON COUNTY, KENTUCKY

In the name of God Amen I John Turner Jr. of the County of Madison and State of Kentucky being of sound mind and memory do make this my last wlll and testament hereby revokeing all others by me made; Item first all my lawful debts be paid punctually paid. Item to my first eight children that I had by my first wifre Rebeckah (Viz) Andrew Thomas Edward John Cornelius Anny Sarrah and Charity I beqeath one dollar to each of them a peace, having before given to each of them such part of my estate as I intended them possess. Item to my youngest son William I give as much of my estate as will board and school him to the double rule of three so as he may well understand this same and one horse saddle and bridle to be worth on hundred dollars. Item to my two youngest daughters Elinor Jane I give to each of them one feather bed and furniture one cow and calf one horse saddle and bridle to be worth twenty five pounds each of them. Item to my daughter Catharine Patterson I give her and her children the fifty acres of land they now live on to each an equal part. Item the plantation and land I now live on and all the negroes and stock of evey kind that I may possess only such paid as is above disposed of I give to my son Barnett the use and controle untill my youngest son William arives to the age of sixteen or if he shall/should die before that he the said William arrives to that age untiull the next youngest doeth, the negroes none to be disposed of but if the this stock becomes too Large he and the Executors is to sell such as can be spared The money to pay taxes and other necessaries for the use of the family. Item the plantation and land I now live on I give to my sons that I had by my wife Jane to be equally divided between them (Viz) James Phillip Barnett Jesse Jonathan and William and the balance of my estate both real and personal to be equally divided between all my sons and daugters that I had by my last wife Jane only Catharine Patterson her to have no more that the fifty acres of land above sated (Viz) James Mildred Phillip Barnett Jesse Johanathan and Elenor Jane and William to them and their heirs forever lastly I appoint my brother Phillip Turner my son Barnett and James Berry my Exors' to this my last will and testament in ntive hereunto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of Demb 1813

I William Irvine clerk of the court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that at a court held for said county on the 3rd of January 1814 this writing was proven to be the last will and testament of John Turner decd such proven to be oaths of Rbt. Harris John Roberts and Nathan Roberts subscribing witness thereto V ordered to recorded.
