CORNELIAS TURNER was the fifth child of John Turner and first wife Rebeckah Smith, birth place is possibly Rowan county, North Carolina on the 13 July 1768 - 1770. On August 17, 1794, Cornelias united in marriage with Sarah Swinney, at Madison county, Kentucky, and by 1811 they removed to Warren county, Kentucky, where their nine children grew to adulthood and married as follows: Levi to Nancy Patrick, Mary to Samuel Cox, Ann 1) William C. Turner 2) Samuel Winder, Swinney to Susan Lanier, Elizabeth to David Stahl, Robert to Sally Blewett, Nancy to Warren Thompson, Cynthia to James Allinder, and Rebecca to Samuel Ragland.

Upon the death of Sarah Swinney, Cornelias married Sarah Simpson, sister of his good friend Azel Simpson, on May 26, 1823, at Warren county, Kentucky.
