John E. Eyre, 84, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, at Ridgewood Manor, Maumee, Ohio. He was born on October 16, 1927, to William and Emma Eyre. John served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948. He married Marilyn Knecht in 1952. His working career included Champion Spark Plug Co. and for 33 years he worked for the Wechsler Coffee Co. John enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kate, Winifred, Thelma, and Evelyn; brothers, Samuel and William. He is survived by his wife. Marilyn; children, Rich (Debbie) Eyre, Sandy Eyre, and grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Brian, Christopher and Alex; sister, Betty Startzman; brother, Alvin Eyre; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Judith Knecht, and many nieces and nephews.
