Al was born May 16, 1935 in Toledo to William and Emma Ricter Eyre. The youngest of nine children, Al graduated from Libby High School and then served in the Air Force in Omaha, Nebraska.
He was an insurance agent for American General Insurance for 33
years. He won several trips and awards for his sales ability.
Al was involved in many community events. He was a volunteer at the Jamie Farr Tournaments, Road Runners in Toledo, the Police Department Ambassador Program, and Ohio Reads Star Volunteer at various schools. He also participated in various political campaigns for John Garcia, Carty Finkbeiner, and Judge Christiansen. Al helped Juanita Green from the Board of Community Relations in various community projects over the years
