Quincy: Delia Whitener, 83, a long time resident of the Quincy area, died Sunday in the hospital here following an extended illness.
She was born in Missouri, Nov 19,1872, and came here with her husband, the late Fred Whitener, in 1908. They homesteaded southeast of Quincy. Mr. Whitener died in 1957, and a son Carlyn, in 1963.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Paul, Fred and Sterling Whitener all of Quincy, 12 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren
