Grandma Sample Dies In 80th Year
Mrs. Mary Elmine Sample, mother of Mrs. C.L. Johnson, died at her home at Ft. Cobb Sunday at 11 a.m. Funeral services were held at Maysville, Tuesday at 2 o'clock and burial was made at that place.
Grandma Sample was born at Marble Hill, Mo. Feb. 10, 1858, died Jan. 23, 1938, aged 79 years, 11 months and 13 days. She came with her husband, Guy E. Sample to Oklahoma in 1899. She has made her home here and in the Ft. Cobb communities since 1916.
Surviving relatives who attended the funeral included Mrs. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson of this place, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Hall and Model Watkins of Olney, Texas; J.E. Sample and family of Ft. Cobb, Pink Sample and family of Chickasha, Mrs. Emma Henderson, Maysville; Mrs. Guy Hall, Oklahoma City; Jess Yount, Enid; Ellis and Ed Yount and families of Alex, I.H. Sample and family of Davis and Gladys Richards of Lindsay.
