MARION, Ohio - Violet D. Dahlgren, 82, of Marion, Ohio, and formerly of Lanse, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at her residence.

Born Jan. 4, 1916, in Grassflat, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Netterblade.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Lanse.

On Jan. 23, 1943, in Clearfield, she wed Carl W. Dahlgren, who preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Jine) Emigh of Marion; three grandsons, Robert Emigh of Marion, Keith Emigh of Columbus, Ohio and Kevin Emigh of Westerville, Ohio; a sister, Ann Starstrom of Darlington, S.C.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dahlgren was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Thomas G. Bruner officiating.

Interment will be in the Grassflat Lanse Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Marion General Hospital Hospice, McKinley Park Drive, Marion, Ohio 43302; or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, PO 218, Grassflat, Pa. 16839.
