He was born June 10, 1927, at Ingalls, Ark., a son of Ruby Pansy Bass of Pine Bluff and the late Charlie B. Bass.
He was a retired mechanic and a gold miner.
He was a Baptist.
Other survivors include two sons, Charles Bass Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nicky C. Bass of Lincoln; one daughter, Linda Gail Johnson of Austin, Texas; four brothers, Louie Bass and Jerry Bass, both of Pine Bluff, Glover Bass of Hope, Ark., and Eddie Charles Bass of Bossier City, La.; two sisters, Dora Mae Padgett of Grapevine, Ark., and Anita Chandler of Rison, Ark.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Griffin Funeral Home at Dumas, Ark. Burial will be in McGehee Cemetery.
