Charlie B. Bass, of McGehee died at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock last Wedensday. He was a farmer and had been a resident here for the past 32 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pansy Kitchel Bass of McGehee; five sons, Charlie Bass of Houston,Texas, and Louie Bass,Grover Bass,Jerry Bass and Eddie Bass, all of McGehee; four daughters, Mrs. Stella Hoffman of Iola,Kansas, Mrs. Anita Durham of Dermott, Mrs. Imalene Pardon of Boydell and Mrs. Dora May Durham of North Little and fifteen grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the First Assembly of God Church with the pastor, Rev. Debrell Helton, and Rev. O.J. Crank of Dermott officiating.Burial was in the McGehee Cemetery by Dyer Funeral Home.
Pall bears were J.W. Starnes, Dale Baker, James Britton, Herman Huie, Johnny Denton, Jesse Miller, Jim Holt and Dale Loyd.
