Payne, Carolyn A., 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012.

Carolyn was a homemaker, a devout member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, and loved spending time with her family.

She was born to Henry and Constance (Westerhouse) Scott in Fort Scott, KS, and was married to Merle Payne for 60 years. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Don) Doze; sons, Michael (Sandy) Payne, Terry (Vickie) Payne; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Merle Payne, and four sisters.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, with family present 6-8 p.m., Hillside Funeral Home East. Funeral services 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church. Burial at Kechi Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, Wichita.
