The Chico Enterprise, Chico, CA, Friday Evening, August 2, 1940: "G. H. Crenshaw Taken by Death. Glen H. Crenshaw, a prominent rancher and stockman in Shasta Union district, passed away at a local hospital at 8 p.m. yesterday, following a short illness.
"Born June 27, 1889, at Tarklo, MO, he came to California at the age of six months and spent his early years near Pentz. He was widely known and had many friends in the Chico area. For the past 20 years he had been farming near Nord.
"Crenshaw was an active member of the Grange and Farm Bureau and other agricultural organizations.
"He is survived by his wife, Bernice Rose Crenshaw, and a son, Glenivan, of Chico. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Nugent funeral home, the Rev. Harris Pillsbury officiating. Cremation will follow at Sierra View in Marysville."
