Chico Enterprise Record, Chico, CA, Monday evening, March 25, 1946: Mrs. Williams Taken by Death. Mrs. Hazel Elva Williams, 49, the wife of Homer Williams of 742 West Fourth Street, died this morning at an Oroville hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Williams, born in Nelson, had spent her entire life in the Chico community where she devoted her time to her home and children.
Surviving her besdes her husband are children: Mrs. Alice Summers of Durham; Mrs. Carroll Green of Sacramento; Robert Williams of Portland, Oregon; and Richard, Betty, Florence, Grace, Rosalie, Sadie, Joyann and Homer Williams Jr., all of Chico; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Platt of Sacramento and Mrs. Stella Laws of Chico; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Nugent Funeral Service.
